Same Sample logs every correction to a published figure on this page rather than editing a number quietly. Each entry names the affected page, the original statement, the corrected statement, the date and the reason.
How does a correction get made?
A reader or a vendor sends the primary source that contradicts a published figure. Same Sample re-checks against that source, corrects the page if the source supports it, and adds an entry here on the same day.
Write to [email protected] with the page, the figure, and the source. A report without a primary source is still read, but a figure only changes when a source supports the change.
Corrections are split into two classes. A material correction changes a number, a ranking order, or a recommendation. A non-material correction fixes wording, a typo or a broken link, and does not change what the page asserts.
What corrections have been made so far?
No published figure has been corrected yet, because no measured figure has been published yet. The log below starts empty and stays empty until there is something to record, rather than being filled with cosmetic entries.
Changes made before a figure was ever published are not corrections and do not belong here. Method and protocol changes made before the first run are recorded on the methodology page as part of the protocol version history.
What happens to an old result when a page is re-run?
A re-run does not overwrite the previous edition. Each benchmark carries a version, and an older version stays readable so a reader can see what changed between editions and why.
That rule exists because a comparison site that silently replaces last quarter's numbers with this quarter's is unfalsifiable. Keeping both is what makes a claim checkable.
